Radio course

Radio course ROC certificate
At the course you will acquire detailed knowledge of the practical usage, calibration and testing of VHF, radio-telephony equipment incl. DSC, portable VHF, NAVTEX equipment, the emergency position indicating radio beacon (EPIRB) and the radar transponders (SART). You will also acquire detailed knowledge of the structure of the GMDSS system and rules and procedures concerning emergency and safety calls as well as radio conversations – particularly those concerning human safety. Upon completion of the course, you will be awarded an ROC certificate (marine area A1).
Duration: 5 days incl. exam
The course can take place in local fishing ports.
The course concludes with a qualifying exam.

Radio course LRC certificate incl. satellite communication
In addition to the subjects described under the ROC certificate, you will learn about practical usage, calibration and testing of MF/HF radio-telephony equipment, incl. DSC and Inmarsat satellite communication equipment.
Duration: 10 days incl. exam
Upon completion of the course, you will be awarded an LRC certificate (marine area A2).
The course can take place in local fishing ports.
